Mt. Graham Safe House is a domestic violence crisis center serving victims of domestic violence, sexual assault and stalking. Along with the victims we provide services to their children, pets and families.
Our crisis shelter accepts victims of domestic violence including male victims. We have an on site pet shelter to accommodate victims with pets removing the choice of victim safety or pet safety and providing safety to both.
Programs offered on site include parenting, domestic violence education, financial empowerment, career education, children's domestic violence education along with support groups and other activities.
Mobile advocacy is a strong component of our program offering services to the victims where they are. If a victim doesn't need or want shelter advocates can still respond to assist with their other needs. Advocates and provide a food box delivered to the home an order of protection from the hospital bed and helping hand in the DES office, what ever is needed by that victim at that time in that location as long as the area is relatively safe.
Mt. Graham Safe House relies on community support and government grants to maintain its' program and facilities. This means we need you and your support to continue serving victims of violence in southern Arizona.
Mt. Graham Safe House is the only domestic violence provider in a two county area and the only facility staffed 24 hours a day in more than a 150 mile radius. The area served is entirely rural offering no public transportation. Our facility is a safe haven for those in danger in southern AZ. The two counties we primarily serve and Graham and Greenlee Counties.
Our current physical facility offers 47 beds, an on site transitional housing apartment, a pet shelter, play area and more.
