Beacon House is a Christian Charity that offers healthcare and wellbeing facilities to those who are homeless, in insecure accommodation, or at high risk of homelessness.
Beacon House is an established and accessible place for people facing multiple barriers to life and employment. A range of services are provided to support their physical and mental health and well-being. In this atmosphere of acceptance and empowerment, other agencies that have accessed funding streams to support marginalised people are able to provide their services more effectively. We recognise that there are many reasons as to why an individual has become homeless or is threatened with homelessness. The help and support that we provide is therefore suited to the needs of each individual which allows them to move forward and get themselves “back on track”.
Our Vision is to be a centre of excellence bringing hope to the homeless, and those at risk of homelessness, developing a person-centred holistic response to their needs through services, interventions and support; bringing about lasting change and enabling them to sustain fulfilling, productive and purposeful lives. Beacon House is rooted in, and motivated by, Christian faith. As such, we believe that every human being – regardless of age, sexuality, nationality or creed – is a unique being, created by a God who loves them unconditionally and desires for everyone to reach their potential.
We continue to encourage, empower and inspire those who use our services so that they are able to grow and overcome any challenges they are faced with and reach out and share with others what they have learnt along the way. It is not the destination that is the most important, it is the things we learn along the way.
